Aerospace/Industry Links

COMPANIES WHERE I'VE BEEN EMPLOYED

These links represent some of the companies where I have been employed during my 30+ year career in aerospace. I neither recommend nor endorse these companies in any way and links to their web sites are provided only as a courtesy.

DISCLAIMER:
Regarding the Aerospace/Manufacutring Company Links
The companies listed at the top of this page are not the only ones where I have been employed, but these have by far had the greatest impact on successfulness in my chosen career path in the aerospace manufacturing industry. Their inclusion here is for informational purposes only and my intent is neither to promote them nor endorse them.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS

The Amercian Society for Quality is a professional organization for individuals who are in some way involved with quality.
If you are a quality assurance professional, or if you are interested in how you can promote the message of quality in your organization, click on the picture and you'll be taken to the ASQ web site where you can find out more.
Membership in ASQ is optional, and certification to professional standards is offered for anyone wanting to show they have earned credentials that prove they understand the importance of quality in their company. Members have special access areas on the web site that provide knowledge sharing and networking.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is a non-profit professional organization for individuals associated with manufacturing. Local chapters are located all over the world. Membership is optional, but members have special access on SME's web site for accessing areas where there are knowledge bases and networking links.
SME also offers special certifications that provide evidence of an individual's professional knowledge, and stature in the manufacturing community.

MUSIC LINKS

These are music links I find useful.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE GUITAR MAKES...
Seagull, a brand of Godin, makes some of the finest acoustic guitars you can find anywhere. In fact all Godin brands (Art & Lutherie, Richmond, Godin, Simon & Patrick, Norman, and LaPatrie) are nice instruments. But the Seagull is the flagship of their guitar line, and all Godin brands are hand made in Canada. In a day when so many guitar makers have gone overseas in search of cheap labor, Godin continues to build their instruments in North America using craftsmen, and do so at a reasonable cost. Most woods used to make Seagull and Godin's other brands is harvested responsibly right in Canada. My own S6/Q1-Slim is a great example, being constructed Wild Cherry (back and sides), Cedar (Top) and Silver-Leaf Maple (neck). I highly recommend these guitars to your attention.

ONLINE GUITAR/INSTRUMENT TUNER...
An online Instrument Tuner--very helpful!!! Features guitar, banjo, violin, mandolin, and many more. It is provided as a service (no charge) and, again, no spam ads! Click the picture to go there.

NEW AND USED STRINGED INSTRUMENT SALES, INSTRUMENT KITS, and PARTS
THE BELOW LINKS ARE CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED.  IF THEY DON'T WORK, COME BACK LATER...

These are sites that I use for acquiring instruments or parts for instruments--geared primarily toward stringed instruments. I've included them here because they are all musician-oriented sites who carry these items at reasonable prices, and whose main interest seems to focus on the successfulness of their customers.

CHURCHES and MISSIONS

Church@Main is my church. It started in March 2009 in Eaton Hall--a large room for gatherings located in the Brownsburg Indiana Town Hall building. We now meet on Sundays at 9 and 11 on East Main Street in Brownsburg. View the link to learn more. For the first time in 17 years, I love going to church again!!!
Drowning Fish Ministries is an outreach founded by Scott and Melissa Miller. Scott believes that people who do not fit "the norm" still fit into God's plan, and he lives the great commission by reaching out to the lost, the broken, and the rejected--a reminder to us all that Christ's free gift is for everyone.

INTERNET SEARCHING

Google is my favorite search engine on the Internet. I hope they remain independent and are not absorbed by some other behemoth company. Its success I believe is based on its simplicity and ease of use. Google now owns the famed YouTube web site as well as several other internet sites.

COLLEGES

Western Governors University (WGU) is a fully accredited online university that provides all online access for students whose schedules won't permit attendance at regularly-scheduled classes at a specific location. This is quite helpful for busy parents, or those who must travel in their occupations--but still wish to work to earn their Bachelors or Masters degrees.
If you think you might be interested in attending, please contact me via the "Contact Me" link (above left) and I can refer you. My referral will waive the $65 application fee.

TV STATIONS
Channel 13, WTHR is an NBC Affiliate. NBC is owned by GE. That is just some trivia for you. I'm not a fan of anything GE, but this is a really good central-Indiana television station.

AUCTION SITES
My eBay© items for sale
I occasionally have items listed for sale on eBay©. If you are interested in musical instruments (my most frequent listed item) or any number of other things that I may be selling, simply click on the eBay© logo at right and you'll see what I currently have listed. I am not a power seller (I am not a frequent seller...only occasional), so don't be surprised if you look and there is nothing listed currently. I don't sell on eBay© to make a profit. My presence there is typically to find used guitars that I like, then if I tire of them or decide they are not for me, I just resell them to try to recoup some of what I've paid for them. Sometimes I keep them for a while before deciding to sell. I always want to make sure I've "given it time". Although this almost always results in spending a little more than I sell, it serves my needs and allows me to try a lot of different guitar brands and models, then resell them at only a small loss. It essentially works out as if I am paying to try them for awhile (like renting them). I don't usually lose a LOT but I always end up in the negative. Oh well...
